Trip charges help cover travel time, fuel, and the setup of our mobile unit so we can bring services directly to you.

Because every location is different, trip fees may vary. Areas that are difficult to access or located on unimproved roads may incur a higher charge to account for additional wear on our equipment. In some cases, trip charges may be reduced if we are already scheduled in your area.

For the safety of our team and to protect our sensitive onboard medical equipment, we may decline service to locations with road conditions that could cause damage.

The 4Dx test is recommended annually for dogs in Missouri, as it screens for both heartworm and common tick-borne infections prevalent in the region.
Send-out panels and specialized diagnostics include advanced hormone, endocrine, or metabolic testing performed at reference laboratories.

• FIV/FeLV test: $50 (Recommended for new adoptions, outdoor cats, and multi-cat households.)

Portable ultrasound available both in-clinic and in-home.
Imaging results can be reviewed by specialists on request.

Sedation

IM or IV sedation: $50 minimum with graduated cost based on weight. We can be on-site to assist local groomers for sedated grooms as needed.

Dentistry

• Preventive dental cleaning (House call, ultrasonic scaling, polish, anesthesia, IV fluids, take home meds if applicable):
  • Small pets average $300-450
  • Medium/large pets average $325-475.

• Tooth extractions:variable, based on complexity and tooth type

Pricing varies with tooth size, root depth, infection, and number of extractions. All dental procedures include local pain control and post-op care guidance. General anesthesia is the standard of care, and all patients are intubated for dental procedures.

Surgery

Spay/Neuter (Healthy, Not in Heat/Pregnant, does not include exam or preventative care options)

• Cat neuter/spay: $125 / $185

• Dog neuter: $225 minimum with graduated cost based on weight

• Dog spay: from $265 minimum with graduated cost based on weight

Note: Animals that are in heat or obese may require additional surgical time, anesthesia, and supplies, which can increase total cost.
All surgical cases receive individualized estimates following pre-operative evaluation.

Emergency Care (After Hours)

• Emergency consult fee: $150
  (Includes phone triage and after-hours exam if staff available, must add trip charge)

• Stabilization or transfer prep: from $95

• Referral coordination: No additional charge

After-hours emergencies are accepted as staff availability allows.
If immediate care isn’t possible, we’ll refer to 24-hour ER partners in Springfield or Columbia.

Note: A deposit may be required prior to response for emergency after-hours calls.
This ensures prompt triage and dispatch while maintaining equitable coverage across service areas.

Travel & Health Certificates

Interstate Travel

• USDA-accredited veterinarian exam + APHIS form: $90
  (Required for travel between U.S. states; includes inspection, documentation, and digital filing.)

International Travel

• International health certificate (APHIS 7001 or country-specific form): $175
  (Includes compliant microchip verification, physical exam, and completion of international documents.)

• USDA digital endorsement assistance: $35
  (For APHIS eFile submission to USDA office in Columbia, MO)

Schedule at least 10–14 days before travel. Some destinations (EU, Japan, Australia, etc.) require rabies titers or waiting periods — Valeo Veterinary can coordinate all required testing and endorsements. Dr. Inman is a USDA Level II accredited veterinarian.

End-of-Life Care (In-Home Euthanasia)

• Euthanasia only (client handles aftercare):

  • Up to 75 lbs: $165

  • Over 75 lbs: $195

• Euthanasia with communal cremation (no ashes returned):

  • Up to 75 lbs: $235–$265

  • Over 75 lbs: $275–$325

• Euthanasia with private cremation (ashes returned):

  • Up to 75 lbs: $325–$395

  • Over 75 lbs: $425–$495

• Acceptance of remains: We understand that loss can occur unexpectedly. Valeo Veterinary is able to receive pets who have already passed for cremation. Typically, only the cremation fee based on your pet’s weight will apply.

Prices include sedation and comfort care. Additional fees may apply for extended travel, urgent, or after-hours visits.
